Third ModConFlex Network Meeting at Besançon
In October the third ModConFlex Network Meeting took place in France. Starting with an overview of events since the last Network meeting and several committee meetings to talk about past and future events, the Ph.D. students presented their research. Breaks between meeting and presentation sessions and even parts of the meeting dinner time were not only made use of to catch up on recent developments, but also widely used to discuss science.
After two days, most senior scientists left the scene, while some remained to teach a number of different courses centered around port-Hamiltonian systems. Videos and slides are available. In this they were joined by some external lecturers (Hector Ramirez, Hector Ramirez Estay. Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria, and Denis Matignon, Institut Supérieur de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace) and a presentation from an associate partner (Bernhard Maschke from Université Lyon 1).
The academic teaching was followed by two days of complementary skills training. This year the focus lay on communication.
